Christmas in WV

Christmas was full of excitment this year. The kids had a great time (although we all battled a stomach bug). Toys, toys and more toys. Oh, what fun!

Wiseman

Last night Brady was a wiseman for the Christmas play at church. He did not want to do it, however, when it was over he asked if they could do it again. He's such a star!

Thanksgiving 2008

We just got back from Richmond after spending a great Thanksgiving with the family. Our trip was packed with fun as we had help Grammy and Papaw find the perfect Christmas tree, celebrated the Berry Christmas and had our first annual Berry soccer game. All of this combined with a special Thanksgiving made a memorable trip. Enjoy the pics!

Disney Trip

Last week we spent our vacation in Orlando at Disney. It is truly a magical place. We all had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer. Brady said his favorite part was feeding the ducks (they were at our hotel). Billy's comment on this was "... of course you would, that was free!...). I think Brooks liked the characters the best,he loved Minnie and Stitch. He was mesmerised by their noses. Billy & I both loved the dophin show at Seaworld, man I chose the wrong profession. What an amazing trip!

Toothless

Wow! These past couple of weeks have been busy. Last night Brady lost his first tooth. This was not a joyous occasion for him. He was terrified and cried because it didn't feel right & because he looked funny. However, the tooth fairy did visit last night & he was feeling a lot better about being toothless this morning. The tooth fairy needs to start a separate banking account! Teeth are very expensive these days.

Halloween

Brady chose to be a biker this year for Halloween. He was a star! He rode his Little Tikes Harley and got some waves from fellow Harley bikers. He thought he was so cool. I think he was more interested in looking cool than getting candy. Brooks went along with his brothers plan and went as a biker as well. He was amused by all the activity and loves to play with his brothers candy.

Rascal Flatts Concert

On Oct 24th we took Brady to his 1st concert in Knoxville. We saw Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift. It was so fun. He had a blast and so did Billy and I. Rascal Flatts really put on a show, it was amazing.

Corn Maze

Saturday we went to our first corn maze here in Tn. It is located at Mayfield Dairy Farm, which is absolutely beautiful. Both boys enjoyed it. Brady had his good buddy, Mckenzie, with him and they ran wild. Brooks just chilled out and watch all the people. He is such a good boy. They had various activities like cow milking, pumpkin patch and "little tractor" riding. When we left they had a big bon-fire going. It smelled just like fall. It was wonderful!

Sarah's B-day in WV

We went to WV this past weekend for Sarah Beth's B-day. The kids had a great time. I can't believe they are already 5!

Fall Festival '08

Every year our nursing home has a fall festival. This year Brady decided to perform a song by the Jonas' brothers. He did great! He might just be our little pop star.

Birthday Bash

Saturday Brady had his 5th birthday party at our house. We all had a blast. It was a Waterpark theme so things were wet and wild.

Happy 5th Birthday!

Wednesday was Brady's 5th birthday. It's hard to believe he is already five. My how time flies. We are having his "actual" B-day bash this weekend but we celebrated with a small cake on the 17th. Look for more pics of the celebration next week!

1st game of soccer

Brady had his first soccer game on tues. He loves soccer (against daddy's wishes). His team is very good and so adorable. Brady did score his first goal, so he was very proud. Although they do not actually keep score, his team won by 9. We'll see how the rest of the season goes.

TRIK-A-THON

Last Friday Brady's preschool had a trik-a-thon to raise money. I never knew how dangerous trikes could be. It was hilarious! One cute little girl was chillin' while she was driving. The kids would be racing around the circle, not be watching where they were going and just ram into the back of her trike. She fussed at Brady several times. He loved it. I saw his face light up a couple of times as he would hit a stretch where nobody was in front of him and he would pedal as fast as he little feet would go. What a great time!

Photo op!

OK, I admit I am a little obsessed with taking photos. But the boys change so much each day I just can't help it. They are so good too. They accept their momma's crazy & obsessive issue. They love me anyway. So here are new pics of Brooks' 1 st bubble bath. He just tries to eat the bubbles (he eats everything). And, of course Brady loves to blow the bubbles in his face. At least my boys like to take baths!

Beat the Summer Heat

As summer ends and we patiently await the cooler weather, we are enjoying our last couple of weekends in the Tennessee heat. It's so hot and humid here that I even went down the slide. Billy found it amusing, I was a little disappointed--it was not nearly as fun as I thought it would be. Brooks is starting to enjoy the water, but not quite independent enough for too much fun. Brady is, of course, the daring one who jumps off of the top of the slide to the bottom. Billy laughs as I scream at him "stop before you break your neck!" Wow! I am starting to sound like my mother:)

A Day at the County Fair

Corn dogs, funnel cakes and nachos! Last week we went to the annual McMinn county fair. Yes, there was a fair share of country bumpkins, but the kids didn't care. I found myself praying for safe passage as I rode the airplanes with Brady. I looked down and noticed the rusted metal holding the airplane together. But all in all, a good night. Brooks had his first ride down the slide with his daddy. He loved it.

Brooks' Baptism

On Sunday, August 10, 2008, Brooks Parker Berry was Baptized in Bluefield, WV at the church I grew up in. Family and friends joined us in our celebration.

Brady's 1st day of preschool

Brady started preschool last week. He was such a big boy. His new teacher is Ms. Luanne and he is praised for being so good (of course--he gets that from me:).

August

It's hard to believe how fast the boys are growing. Brady starts preschool at Four Star Academy next week. I'm sure I'll have to take the day off from work to recuperate from my breakdown that day. Brooks is six months old now, and is sitting up. He is almost ready to crawl, and will if he REALLY wants something. He will be baptised at my church in Bluefield next Sunday. They change each day, so I will do my best to keep the pictures updated. I hope you enjoy!
